Associates
Recently I have heard companies refer to their employees as associates. I haven't done a study, but from the cases I remember, this usage seems more prevalent for lower paid workers.
I came across another similar instance that, in asian countries employees hold title as associate director/ manager but when i did a small research i came to know that these titles are not in western countries but broadly used in asian pacific countries. Regards, Mary
